This character design has been floating around in my head for a few years now. Always tweaking it whenever I find my old drawings.
She was to be the female lead of a rpg I could make in the future, a kind of blade runner- esque distopian future set after some kind of calamity. She lives in a city that no one can escape, crime is high and running rampant, police are corrupt, jail is practically a BnB service for criminals. Everyone is slowly going blind by the very air itself, spores that pass through purifying systems and such. It creates a weird side effect where everyone’s eyes appear to glow.
A bit darker than my normal stuff, yes. The reason behind the breathing apparatus and the scars is that in the course of the story, she is attacked by a savage killer but barely makes it out of the encounter alive. Her design was meant to show that she’s strong yet fragile, sympathetic and potentially mysterious. Yet despite this, I never gave her a name, I couldn’t think of one that would suit her.
I might be able to make that game some day so.. early concept art? Haha
